The Beat Goes On - fundraising event raises £10k

We were thrilled to be chosen by the Hurst Children’s Theatre Group as one of the supported charities for their variety show in November. Here's our round-up of the evening's fantastic entertainment.

After a few years’ break during Covid, the annual (and very popular) Hurst Children’s Theatre Group Variety Show was back with a bang in 2022. On 26th November, our team attended the show at The Eric Morecambe Theatre in Harpenden, and had an evening full of top notch entertainment from performers of all ages!

The acts included a Rock Choir, Mike Hurst (from The Springfields), The West End Mums performing a piece from ‘Chicago’, Magic Simon, and many other fantastic comedy, dance and singing acts.

With over 500 people in the room and the opportunity to donate online or at the event, the support was incredible,
raising over £10,000. This generous contribution was split evenly between Music for my Mind and Cancer Research UK

The whole MFMM team was thrilled to be there on the night to watch live performances by seasoned professionals and promising young talent – the energy the event left us with will be hard to forget!

Our deepest appreciation goes to all the performers, the team at HCGT for supporting Music for my Mind, the event sponsors, the venue and all those who attended or donated online. The money raised will help our efforts to raise awareness of the positive effects of personal music playlists for people living with dementia and their loved ones.
