Music for my Mind on the Dementia Research UK podcast

Our Founder, Prof. Keith McAdam, featured on episode 3 of Dementia Research UK's podcast "Inside Dementia".

We were delighted to sit down for a conversation with Professor June Andrews, who hosts the podcast series by Dementia Research UK – “Inside Dementia”.

In episode 3 of the series, Keith talks with June about:

  • The reminiscence bump: why the music of our teenage years stays with us longest
  • Why the most powerful playlists are built from someone’s own life history
  • How families and carers can find the right songs for someone they love.

MFMM is honoured and grateful to be one of the organisations that are funded by Dementia Research UK. We have had their ongoing support for the past few years, generously helping us further our research programme. With their kind and timely support, our team has been able to run and deliver our care home research, which has achieved incredible and exciting results. We hope to share more details about our data and evidence very soon.
