The team at MFMM would like to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who supported us during the recent Big Give Arts for Impact 2024 appeal. You helped us raise an incredible £26,320 which will be put towards making a tangible difference to the lives of families affected by dementia and memory loss.

At MFMM, our mission is deeply rooted in the belief that personalised music has the potential to profoundly enhance the quality of life for individuals living with dementia and their families. We understand the challenges and complexities faced by those navigating the journey of dementia, and we are committed to providing innovative solutions that promote well-being and connectivity.

The funds raised through the Big Give Arts for Impact appeal will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuity of our ongoing care home project. This initiative is dedicated to implementing personalised music programs in care homes, where residents can experience the transformative effects of music tailored to their individual preferences and memories. Through this project, we aim to create meaningful moments of joy, connection, and comfort, and evidence the positive effects of music on people living with dementia and their families.

Additionally, the funds raised will support the enhancement of the technology used in our Playlist Maker — a vital tool that enables the curation of personalised music playlists based on each individual’s unique preferences and life history. By continually improving our technological capabilities, we can better tailor our music interventions to meet the evolving needs of those we support.

Music for My Mind exists not only to provide solace and joy to individuals living with dementia but also to advocate for a world where everyone has access to the transformative power of personalised music — a vision that is made possible through the support of generous donors like you.
